Hp Deskjet 1050 จะประกอบไปด้วยตลับหมึก 2 ตลับ เป็นตลับแบบมีหัวพิมพ์ติดกับตลับหมึกโดยจะแบ่งเป็นตลับสีและตลับดำ เมื่อเราใช้ตลับใดตลับหนึ่งหมดจะทำให้งานพิมพ์ของเราผิดเพี้ยนไปจากต้นฉบับ  ดังนั้นในกรณีที่ตลับใดตลับหนึ่งหมดให้ถอดตลับนั้นออกไปก็จะพิมพ์งานได้ปกติ แต่หากตลับสีหมดเราถอดตลับสีออกจะไม่สามารถพิมพ์สีได้ แต่ตลับดำหมดเราสามารถพิมพ์ได้ทั้งสีและดำ เครื่องพิมพ์จะใช้สีผสมกันออกมาเป็นดำแทนตลับดำ แต่จะใช้เพียงการพิมพ์จากคอมพิวเตอร์ได้เท่านั้นจะไม่สามารถสั่งพิมพ์จากตัวเครื่องได้เช่น การทำสำเนา

Hp Deskjet 1050 contains two ink cartridges, one with a printhead next to the ink cartridge, divided into color and black cartridges. When we run out of one of the cartridges, our printouts will become distorted from the original. So in case one cartridge runs out, remove that cartridge, it will print normally. But if the color cartridge is empty, we remove the color cartridge, we will not be able to print color. But all black cartridges, we can print both color and black. The printer uses a mix of colors to come out black instead of the black cartridge. But only printing from a computer will not be able to print from the machine such as copying.
